preparation :
- 100g of walnuts and 1Table spoon of olive oil
- 1/4 cup of water, 3 table spoon of soy sauce, 1table spoon of honey or corn syrup
- 1/2 tea spoon of sesame and a pinch of black pepper
!!! Make a mixture of soy sauce before you start to cook
and you can add any other nuts you have in your kitchen like Almond, Brazilian nuts ... etc.
How to cook
- make the sauce first; 1/4 cup of water, 3Ts of soy sauce, 1Ts of honey or corn syrup.
- preheat the small saucepan and add walnuts and stir
- add 1Ts of olive oil and stir fast for 10 seconds over medium heat and reduce the heat to low.
- add the soy sauce already been made into the saucepan and bring to boil over high heat and stir, then reduce the heat to low.
- simmer 2-3 minutes until the sauce is boiled down and put the heat off
- add sesame and a pinch of black pepper and stir
- serve with cooked rice
tip add 2-3 drops of sesame oil for flavor if you have it in your kitchen.
it is, however, not necessary
this recipe is for side dishes which can be served with cooked rice.
for crispy texture, you may omit the water.
