I am 160cm tall and have maintained a weight of 45kg for over 20 years.
People say that my good eating habits are the secret.
I'm not a nutrition expert who can explain how well my diet and recipes are scientifically supported.
What is clear is that compared to myself and the people around me, I am still underweight for the amount I eat, and people around me like to taste my food.
I am not particularly particular about organic foods. However, I actively utilize the freshness of seasonal food and ingredients in my cooking, and I focus more on the harmony of the original taste and nutrition of the ingredients.
Maybe that's why my recipes are simpler and faster than others.
Actually, I spend more time making healthy natural seasonings than I do cooking.
People describe my food as healthy.
Even though my children eat 3-4 times as much as their peers, they are 186cm tall and keep their weight 85-86kg continuously.
I believe that healthy eating does not lead to obesity as long as you do not just eat and sleep everyday unless you have a disease in your body.
Many people want the magic of losing weight.
But what I have learned through life is that there is no magic, just as nothing is free in the world.
Here, I want to tell you how common-sense my eating habits and recipes are.
I will introduce the basics that I kept while raising my children.
My story will be a common-sense story that everyone knows. But that is the point I want to make.
I want to say, “If you follow common sense you know, a healthy diet is already half successful.”
I hope it helps you.
1. I usually drink a glass of water when I wake up. This was a habit I started as a teenager to fix constipation. After this, I was relieved of the pain of constipation, and since then I have never suffered from constipation.
2. I don't easily digest whole grains, which are good for health, and I don't like grainy textures, so I just eat plain white flour or white rice. And I don't take any nutritional supplements. However, it is eaten together with soybean foods and milk without missing out on carbohydrate intake. And I often make soups made with pumpkin or other legumes.
3. I love hamburgers. I especially like Burger King's Whopper. However, I rarely eat instant food other than hamburgers. I do eat ramen(instant noodle) occasionally, but not more than once a month. I like cheese, so I often eat pizza, but for me, having lived in Europe for a long time, pizza is a healthy food. I don't know much about American pizza except Domino's Pizza and Pizza Hut. I don't think anyone puts artificial seasoning on pizza.
4. I love sweet treats such as cakes, macarons, and ice cream. However, I do not use sugar in my staple food. If I need to sweeten my dishes, I sweeten them with either fruit or grain sugars.
5. I eat very slowly. It usually takes about an hour to eat one meal.
6. I do not eat meat and carbohydrates together or meat and cheese together, except for hamburgers. When I eat meat, I do not eat rice or bread, I only eat meat with vegetables. I eat carbs and cheese together, but I don't like combinations with meat added to it.
7. I mostly eat beef or chicken breasts rather than fatty pork.
